Beginning with the exhibition The Early Years of Rhythm and Blues: The Photography of Benny Joseph, which toured to more than 30 venues across the United States, Documentary Arts continues to actively develop and organize exhibitions from the vast collections of the Texas African American Photography Archive and related to its ongoing public programs focused on the recipients of the National Heritage Fellowships.
